Memorial Scholarship

Science Grants

The Geology Section of the Peoria Academy of Science has initiated a new grant program. It is intended to serve K-12 teachers in all public and parochial schools in the central Illinois area. Amounts up to $200 will be awarded to purchase materials for units dealing with geology. Grant application forms can be obtained from the Regional Offices of Education or from Geology Section members. Applications need to be received by February 1.

Treasure Hunt

The Science Treasure Hunt is one of the Peoria Academy of Science activities for children. It is a summer-long event for children to visit various "science sites" in Central Illinois and learn new things and compete for some really neat prizes. It begins in early May and ends in August.
